Summer Learning Program

Young Warriors Summer Learning Program

The Young Warriors Summer Learning Program is an eight week academic enrichment program offered to students living in and around under-served communities in Dallas. Over the summer enrolled children are instructed in English and Math. In addition, life skills are included in the curriculum; they’re schooled in the value of service through volunteerism and leadership.  Getting the parents involved has improved the success rate of this program; both students and parents sign contracts making them accountable for attendance and behavior.

The Program operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in a classroom environment and is led by qualified instructors from Big Thought.

Inspirational Field Trips:
From exploring a major high-rise construction site to touring an aerospace plant, we demonstrate how academic studies link to the prospects of a better career and their impact on society.
